Company History

 

1986 - Gallium recycling facility started operations in Blanding, Utah 

1998 - Facilities and technical competencies grown to international prominence

  • Research began at Lakefield Research in Canada on hydrometallurgical processes to recover gallium from difficult gallium feeds which were not suitable for the Recapture thermal process
  • Following successful development, Lakefield Research created Argento Plata Metals Limited as a means of transferring technology from a research organization to a production environment

1999 - Argento Plata conducted a pilot plant for recovering gallium for Recapture and other companies

2002 - Argento Plata was spun off from Lakefield Research as an independent company

2003 - Argento Plata relocated to Peterborough, Ontario to commercialize the gallium recovery business

2005 - Argento Plata purchased Recapture Metals Inc. and adopted the name Recapture Metals Limited

2006 - Recapture Metals Limited purchased 50% of Ingal Stade in Germany as a source of primary gallium

2008 - Commercialization of indium refining

2008 - Design, engineering and construction of rhenium recovery plant

2009 - Neo Material Technologies, Inc. acquires Recapture Metals Limited on August 31.
